“The Beat Goes On”

The hit song by Sonny and Cher is an apt description of what happens in Washington, D.C. I’m referring to their Top 10 hit song, “The Beat Goes On.” No matter which party controls Congress, the beat goes on. No matter which party’s candidate is elected President, the beat goes on. Rhetoric and campaign promises notwithstanding, the beat goes on. Here is how the “Potomac Shuffle” is played: Democrats openly and boldly promote Big Government. Oh, it’s masked under the rubric of “compassion,” of course. But there is little doubt that the modern Democrat Party is known far and wide … Continue reading “The Beat Goes On”

Republican Bill Cassidy Defeats Democratic Incumbent Mary Landrieu in Louisiana Runoff Election

Democratic U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu has lost to Republican challenger Bill Cassidy in a runoff election that has given more strength to the Republican Party in the Senate. Cassidy’s win means Republicans will now have a nine-seat majority in the Senate next year with 54 seats, and Democrats will control 46 seats. In results long predicted by most analysts and news outlets, Cassidy, who presently serves as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, soundly beat Landrieu with about 58 percent of the vote versus Landrieu’s 42 percent with over 75 percent of precincts reporting Saturday, according to the … Continue reading Republican Bill Cassidy Defeats Democratic Incumbent Mary Landrieu in Louisiana Runoff Election

Arab ban on Muslim Brotherhood death knell for CAIR?

Renews hope for Bachmann bill to outlaw movement and its spinoffs Bans on the radical Muslim Brotherhood abroad combined with a historically large GOP majority in Washington could provide the impetus to pass the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act introduced earlier this year by Rep. Michelle Bachmann, R-Minn., congressional sources say. The bill, which would effectively outlaw the radical Muslim Brotherhood in America, has attracted 19 Republican co-sponsors but has languished since being introduced in the House in July by Bachmann, a member of the House Intelligence Committee. Since then, however, the Republicans have gained the largest majority in the … Continue reading Arab ban on Muslim Brotherhood death knell for CAIR?

Nine served in 2009, the recent low. You’d think this would be great for those leading the effort to categorize us all by … Continue reading Republican Women Grow Numbers in House, Professional Progressive Womyn Hardest Hit

Shutdown Clown

Republican Party’s leaders perform no better than matriculants of a clown school, McConnell chief among them. Engender a despair born of surviving one Establishment Clown after another, since 1988 Mitch McConnell is the Shutdown Clown in the Establishment’s growing circus of Clowns—all performing under a “big tent.” Merely one day after being elected to the Senate, McConnell relentlessly declared, and was dutifully recorded to say, “We’re not going to be shutting down the government or defaulting on the national debt.” McConnell spoke these exact words in his very first news conference. The Leftists in the room recognized what was really … Continue reading Shutdown Clown

Princeton makes it official– USA Has Become Oligarchy, No Democracy

American media is fond of speaking about “Russian Oligarchs” as if Russia were the only nation that allowed accumulation of such unprecedented wealth. The Yeltsin days of dis-order and collapse indeed saw the rapid rise of many fortunes and oligarchs—persons of very much wealth. Some of them have proven patriotic citizens, some like Khodokorvsky or the late unlamented Boris Berezhovsky proved to be loveless gangsters. A new study, however by a Princeton University Professor of the influence of very wealthy or economically powerful persons on American political policies makes clear for the first time that a genuine American Oligarchy has … Continue reading Princeton makes it official– USA Has Become Oligarchy, No Democracy

Obama’s Politics and Policies are Indeed on November’s Ballot

Let’s get something straight right upfront…Barack HUSSEIN Obama has NO love for America, Americans, our military or our veterans, Israel or any of our other true allies, nor does he hold any affinity whatsoever for Christians and Jews…period. Barack HUSSEIN Obama is indeed (I believe) a muslim and a supporter of all things islamic… of all things counter to the Judeo-Christian principles, morals, and values upon which this great nation was founded…and the fabric of our American society in his eyes would be better served by prayer rugs extending from one coast of America to the other. Barack HUSSEIN Obama’s … Continue reading Obama’s Politics and Policies are Indeed on November’s Ballot

Cook County ballot box tries to cast GOP votes for Democrats

CHICAGO — Early Voting in Illinois got off to its typical start Monday, as votes being cast for Republican candidates were transformed into votes for Democrats. Republican state representative candidate Jim Moynihan went to vote Monday at the Schaumburg Public Library. “I tried to cast a vote for myself and instead it cast the vote for my opponent,” Moynihan said. “You could imagine my surprise as the same thing happened with a number of races when I tried to vote for a Republican and the machine registered a vote for a Democrat.” Written by: PAUL MILLER – continue at ILLINOIS WATCHDOG Continue reading Cook County ballot box tries to cast GOP votes for Democrats
