2007 NBC News Report Predicts We’ll All Be Microchipped, Tracked, and Traced Everywhere We Go by 2017

Editor’s Note by Aaron: It seems they’ve temporarily punted on the chip because it got too controversial too fast, although it has been on the table for decades. A lot of people saw it as a red line in the sand. Instead, they’ve made smart phones and other devices trendy and nearly universally adopted. Rather than face an ultimatum to be chipped, people have acknowledged the revelations that it is all for tracking and tracing passively, with surveillance in the backdrop, the back doors and the background.

Now, wearables and biometric tattoos are being made fashionable — to acclimate people to having the convenience of technology on and in their bodies. After that, after it becomes routine, then the transition to full implants like RFID will be a subtle and simple matter.

Watch this video of NBC’s most trusted source in anchormen Brian Williams dated 2007 on the magical predictions for our “Brave New World” in 2017.

Again, that was broadcast back in 2007. It is now 2015.

So in just two years’ time, we’re all set to be microchipped, iris scanned, facially recognized, and fingerprinted everywhere we go for just about any reason including buying stuff just like in the movie Minority Report.

Nah, none of this sounds like the mark of the beast stuff of the Bible’s Revelations or anything.

How does this stuff not go too far for the average person, even the ones who willingly skip around society referring to themselves as “consumers”?

Isn’t it clear yet we are all being herded like cattle in one big technocratic open-air prison?

Guess we make great pets…because that is how we’re being treated.

Welcome to the “smart” future, your life (and big data) in the Internet of Things on the smart grid!
