‘He’s gotten away with a lot of murder’

Eric Garner died and activist Al Sharpton was in the headlines. Likewise when George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin. Then were was the Dunbar Village case, where Sharpton said four youths were unfairly accused because of their race. And there is a long list of other cases where Sharpton has put himself on stage.

So when two police officers were shot and killed in New York over the weekend by someone claiming to be retaliating for Garner’s death, Sharpton was at it again.

He released a statement that said, “We plan to hold a press conference in the morning to express our outrage and our condolences to the families and the police department. Details to follow.”

Which was just too much for some, including billionaire Donald Trump.

Interviewed on Fox News, he said, “I live in New York and I know Al Sharpton very well. I’ve dealt with him many times over the years, and he is a guy who I don’t believe really believes what he’s saying.”

“Some people would call him a con man,” he said. “He’s gotten away with a lot of murder.”
