5 Steps to Get the Best Eggs Possible

Treating your layer hens to a little TLC will mean delicious, golden-yolked eggs for your morning breakfast. Back in the days before my layer flock came to enliven life on our farm, I would have picked the egg for sure—or maybe the egg carton. After all, the runny, pale-yolked eggs I cooked came from cartons sold at the grocery store, not from any chickens that I could see. My perspective changed, however, when I brought home our first fuzzy chicks, watched them grow into gawky pullets and waited—and waited—with bated breath for our first farm-fresh eggs to magically appear. I … Continue reading 5 Steps to Get the Best Eggs Possible

Islamabad (AFP) – Pakistani opposition leader Imran Khan vowed Sunday to protest “until the last breath” as ongoing clashes between his supporters and police outside the prime minister’s residence left three dead and hundreds injured. The violence began Saturday night after thousands of supporters of Khan and firebrand cleric Tahir ul Qadri tried to storm Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s house using cranes to remove barricades. By Sunday afternoon clashes were continuing between police in riot gear and a few hundred protesters. Many protesters had come armed with batons and slingshots. Genetic Modification of Food, Biosphere, and Humanity: Disaster Unfolding

We who are in the know constantly rail against Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO’s). We are awake and aware, through our constant search for knowledge on this subject. We are also painfully aware that the science has no long term credibility. More research and studies are published daily proving the extreme and detrimental health effects these organisms have on humanity with the long term ramifications still unrealized, yet their proliferation continues and accelerates. References and related articles: GMO Scandal – The Long-Term Effects of Genetically Modified Food on Humans What is not so well know to the general public is the … Continue reading Genetic Modification of Food, Biosphere, and Humanity: Disaster Unfolding

Scott Brown Wants To Give Obama Power To Strip US Citizenship

Republican candidate for US Senate Scott Brown called on President Obama and Congress last week to acquire the ability to strip United States residents of their citizenship as a method of fighting terrorism. “One of the greatest threats facing the homeland today is the mayhem that will happen when hundreds of American ISIS fighters return to the United States to spread their terror here. Their goal is to march down Pennsylvania Avenue and plant a flag at the White House, and mass killing is their means for achieving that goal. That’s why Congress needs to pass legislation that would strip the citizenship … Continue reading Scott Brown Wants To Give Obama Power To Strip US Citizenship

Jesus Is Not Your Sin-Manager

What comes to mind when you think of the word “financial debt?” College loans? Low-budget TV commercials? Interminable stress and prolonged discouragement? These are all possible, and understandable, responses. Here’s another one: Jesus Christ. Jesus Came to Crush Our Debt What do I mean by this rather odd statement? To begin with, on the cross Jesus paid for all of our sin. We were terribly, tremendously in the wrong before a holy God. We all heaped up an unpayable amount of sin. You think $100,000 is a large amount of debt? Try offending an infinite God. This is why the … Continue reading Jesus Is Not Your Sin-Manager

Smiting the Green-Eyed Monster

It’s everywhere you turn, yet so easily keeps itself hidden. It’s pervasive in advertising and steers the course of political debates. It lives in all our hearts, but seems so petty that we’re unwilling to admit its presence. But in God’s economy, envy is sinful and dangerous. It makes frequent cameos in the New Testament lists of nastiness (Mark [7:22]; Romans [1:29]; 1 Timothy 6:4;Titus 3:3). We hear that “love does not envy” (1 Corinthians 13:4), that sadly some “preach Christ from envy” (Philippians [1:15]), and, worst of all, that “it was out of envy” that they delivered up Jesus to be … Continue reading Smiting the Green-Eyed Monster

Has the U.S. Targeted Nuclear-Armed Russia with Regime Change?

America Has Undertaken Regime Change In Many Countries Before In 1957, the U.S. and British governments planned regime change in Syria … because it was drifting too close to the Soviet Union. 20 years ago, influential U.S. government officials decided to effect regime change throughout the Middle East and North Africa.   The countries targeted were “old Soviet regimes”. The U.S. has, of course, already carried out regime change in Guatemala, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Chile, Haiti and many other countries.  The U.S. was also instrumental in the recent regime change in Ukraine. Soviet leader Gorbachev allowed the Soviet Union broken up only … Continue reading Has the U.S. Targeted Nuclear-Armed Russia with Regime Change?

Guard withdraws from Ferguson, command center stands down

The command center where the National Guard, Highway Patrol and local police coordinated efforts in Ferguson for much of the past two weeks has been taken down. The command center was established while protests, some that became violent, continued night after night after the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson. After a series of nights without outbreaks of violence, Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson says it was clear a scale back could occur.
